The USTA has brought tennis to the community through grassroots programming. In this section you will find a wealth of information regarding Community Tennis Associations, and national and sectional USTA grants, awards and scholarships that may provide funding to your local organization or an individual. You will also find information on what is happening in the aresa of multicultural and special populations programs in the section and nationally. USTA NJTL Tennis Leadership Camp

Seven student athletes from the USTA Intermountain Section were selected to attend the 25th annual USTA/NJTL Tennis Leadership Camp in Denver, Colorado that was held from July 21-27. The camp, celebrating its 25th anniversary, was exclusively for youth ages 12-14 who participate in National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) programs nationwide. The Camp stressed Arthur Ashe’s ideals of leadership and sportsmanship.

The Multicultural Participation Committee is proud to continue in the commitment toward greater multicultural participation through the granting of funds that support players, programs and community tennis associations. This is a part of the overall diversity initiative to grow tennis through outreach and inclusion. The allocation of financial resources is a demonstration fiscal accountability, and provides a metric of the Intermountain Tennis Associations support of the goal of “Promoting and developing the growth of tennis.” Continue for details and recipients.
