Want to obtain a National Ranking?

  • The USTA ranks players in five year age increments from 30 through 90 for men and women, singles and doubles.
  • A player must play in one (1) Category I National Championship in the age division in which the player seeks to obtain a ranking.
  • Earn points based on round reached in event.

Want to obtain an ITF (World) Ranking in 2012?

  • The ITF ranks players in five year age increments from 35 through 85 for men, 35 through 80 for women, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.

  • Earn points through play in ITF graded tournaments. USTA Category I tournaments are ITF Grade 2.
 

Want to play/compete with family members?

  • Family Divisions available include Father(Mother)/Son(Daughter) combinations as well as Husband/Wife.
  • Tournaments count toward a National Ranking.

Plan NOW to play in a USTA National Championship Tournament

  • What:  Each year the USTA holds four (4) Category I National Championships in each age division on different surfaces: hard; grass; clay; and indoor (hard) courts.  There are numerous Category II National Championships which are also held each year on various surfaces.
  •  Who:  Any USTA member who meets minimum age requirement by December 31.  No minimum rating/ranking requirement.
