Arthur Ashe Essay Contest Winners

Every year, participants in NJTL (National Junior Tennis & Learning) chapters and programs are encouraged to participate in an essay/art contest that allows them to showcase their writing and drawing skills. This opportunity supports the educational component of NJTL. The contestants were encouraged to write or draw about this Arthur Ashe quote, “From what we get, we make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.” In preparation for writing or drawing a response, program youth and their leaders spend time defining and discussing the pertinence of this statement, while also reading about the life and achievements of Arthur Ashe.

Please join the Intermountain Section in congratulating this year’s winners from the Nevada and Colorado Districts of the USTA! Each winner will receive a plaque in recognition of their achievement.
