Welcome to the online home of the USTA Intermountain Section, one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association. USTA Intermountain, with over 37,200 members in its six districts (Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming), uses its funds to train and encourage tennis players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Congratulations to the 2.5 Men's Team from Salt Lake City, UT for winning the USTA League National Championship, the 2.5 Women's Team from Belgrade, Montana for placing third and the 3.5 Senior Men from Las Vegas, NV for placing fourth!
Dedicated Coach, Patricia Adamson from Bountiful, UT is rewarded for her hard work. Adamson along with the other 16 USTA Section Recipients will be considered for the prestigious, USTA Jr. Team Tennis Janet Louer National Organizer of the Year Award, to be announced in December.
The USTA is making it easy to serve up tennis to young players. For a limited time, with the purchase of a 5-year junior membership for $72*, the USTA will include a junior racquet and ball, along with a parent’s guide. Continue for details.
“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” In the case of the annual 2008 Great Pumpkin, this is not entirely true. Tournament play began on Sunday, October 26 and continued until Thursday, October 30 at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, NV. It consisted of draws, with the maximum number of 64 participants ranging from Boys and Girls 12s-18s age divisions. The tournament was packed with participants from six different states within the USTA Intermountain Section. Continue for results and photos.
Tennis Block Parties are an integral part of the USTA’s Tennis Month promotional platform designed to kick off the outdoor tennis season in May. They are easy to organize and provide an opportunity to promote your local tennis programs to players of all ages and abilities. These events can be hosted at any public facility and should feature two to three hours of tennis instruction, interactive games, and attractions for player of all ages and abilities. QuickStart Tennis is an exciting new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. It is divided into two different levels - ages 8 and under and ages 10 and under. Continue for more information.

Since 2006, more than 2,400 high school tennis coaches from across the country have embraced the No-Cut policy, allowing thousands of students who normally would not have been able to play and compete on their high school teams, to play and compete. Continue for more information.
